The Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) has tested the superannuation and retirement policies of the Government, ALP and Greens, using the AIST-Mercer Super Tracker, for fairness and effect on net retirement incomes and the gender gap.
AIST-Mercer Super Tracker
The Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) and consulting firm Mercer have announced the release of the AIST-Mercer Super Tracker, which will “provide an objective means of assessing super and road test new ideas and policies.”
The super tracker gives the superannuation system a current score of 64.9 out of 100.
“The AIST-Mercer Super Tracker will provide an objective method for measuring the costs and benefits of the superannuation system, including the ability to see how potential changes will affect this system.”
The super tracker will track the superannuation gender gap, adequacy of super and fairness of Government support of the super system, according to AIST CEO Tom Garcia.
